After reading you will appreciate all that is available to us in this day in age and how easy we have it. The story is about a young boys true story of following his brother and father up to northern Ontario to start a homestead and live the pioneer life. It is truly remarkable they all survived living in the harshness of Northern Ontario over years ago.
May , I bought this book in , but never got around to reading it until now. I found it a nice easy read with some pretty amazing feats from a young man. Certainly makes me appreciate my lifestyle now.

I like turnips rutabagas but I can't imagine eating them day in day out for a couple of months, and then putting in a full days work chopping trees and constructing in the mean time.
